Police officers in the North have come under attack in Derry.
Several shots were fired at officers as they attended the scene of a stolen car in the Glen Road area of the city last night.
The PSNI says it was a clear attempt to kill a police officer and that it was very fortunate that no one was injured.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the attack to come forward.
