Fanad United were last night granted an A Championship licence by the FAI independent club licencing committee. The side from Trialough were joined by Cobh Ramblers, Galway United, Carlow and Tralee in picking up A Licences. The competition which is regarded as the 3rd tier in Irish soccer and begins with a regionalised opening northern section will also include reserve teams from clubs like Finn Harps, Derry City and Sligo Rovers. Fanad will also still honour their targets in this years Ulster Senior League.
