Pearse Doherty accused of misleading public on his education

Sinn Fein's Pearse Doherty has been forced to clarify his professional education after claims in a national newspaper that he mislead the public of his qualifications.
The Donegal South West Election candidate describes himself as a civil engineer by profession on his party's website - however he only completed two out of three years of a course.

However the Daily Mirror newspaper has described this as misleading stating that Mr Doherty is not a fully qualified civil engineer.

Speaking earlier, Pearse Doherty said he was a qualified civil engineer technician and has made no secret of that:
