Lettekenny and Sligo General Hospitals have been included in the first stage of the roll of a screening programme for colorectal cancer.
The service, as part of the national cancer screening programme, will be available to
men and women aged 60-69 in 2012.
Colorectal cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second most common fatal
cancer among both men and women.
