Cllr Larkin seeks Blaney election support as Cllr Brogan says he’s not interested

In a shock move last evening, Fianna Fáil TD Niall Blaney become the latest Dail deputy to announce he will not run in the General Election.
He withdrew ahead of a selection convention in Letterkenny, citing ‘personal reasons’ for his decision.
Councillor Charlie McConolougue was selected to run for the party, a decision on if he will have a running mate will be made later.
This morning Councillor Ciaran Brogan confirmed he would NOT be interested in running with Councillor Liam Blaney, Niall’s brother and Councillor Dessie Larkin favourites.
The latter says he has always been a strong supporter of the Blaney’s and is now seeking their support:
