Lord Carlisle’s report on Derry murder due within a month

Lord Carlisle’s report in to allegations that MI5 was involved in the death of Derry man Kieran Doherty’s will be given to the Northern Ireland secretary within four weeks.
31-year-old Kieran Doherty was a member of the Real IRA and was murdered by the organisation in February of last year.
However, his family has alleged MI5 was involved.
In October of last Lord Carlisle expressed his confidence that he would detect any attempt to withhold information about the murder.
The SDLP MLA for Foyle Pol Callaghan met with Lord Carlisle this morning – he has welcomed the fact that the report will soon be handed over:
