Donegal FF councillor calls for all party agreement on Seanad abolition

A Donegal Councillor and potential Fianna Fail election candidate is calling for the abolition of the Seanad, and urging the opposition to back a referendum on the same day as the forthcoming General Election

Cllr Charlie Conalogue says he believes the Seanad as it stands is a waste of time and money, and while there may be an argument for a second house, the Seanad as it stands is not fulfilling that function.

The Carndonagh based councillor says scrapping the Seanad now would save money..............
