Fine Gael’s Donegal North East selection convention, which was to have taken place tomorrow evening, has been cancelled.
Constituency Chairperson PJ Hannon has confirmed that two nominations had been received by the deadline last evening, sitting Deputy Joe Mc Hugh and Cllr John Ryan. They are the names that will go before convention, whenever it takes place.
Mr Hannon says the party may wait until after Christmas, but in the event of the government collapsing, an emergency convention will be called………….
