Time for decision on Rutland whales disposal

Senior Donegal County Council officials will meet this morning to discuss how best to dispose of the 33 pilot whales washed up on Rutland Island just over a week ago.
Area Manager John Gallagher will have to make the final decision, with two options open to the council, wither burial on the beach or transport by road to an incinerator in County Cavan.
