On Saturday night Donegal’s Yvonne Mc Monagle was named at corner forward in the 2010 ladies all-star team. Yvonne was the sole recipient from Donegal’s All Ireland Intermediate winning side. The forward earned her All-Star after a stunning performance in the final where she scored a remarkable 2-5 from play to complete an historic treble for Donegal’s ladies football. The counties other nominee’s Ciara Hegarty and Geraldine Mc Laughlin were overlooked for inclusion.
Four ladies from Tyrone also lifted All Stars at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin. Sinead Mc Laughlin, Gemma Begley, and Cathy and Joline Donnelly were awarded for a tremendous 2010 campaign that saw Tyrone contest the first all Ireland senior final.
