Still no decision made on how whales will be disposed of

A decision has yet to be reached on how the authorities will dispose of the remains of 33 pilot whales found dead on a beach on Rutland Island near Burtonport on Saturday.
The operation is being headed by Donegal County Council’s Water and Environmental section who are liasing with a number of groups including the Irish Parks and Wildlife Service.
It is speculated that submarine activity may have been responsible for the whale’s deaths.
Seamus Boyle of the Arranmore Fast Ferry Company says the whales had been feeding in the area for some time:
