Still no decision made on how whales will be disposed of

A decision has yet to be reached on how the authorities will dispose of the remains of 33 pilot whales found dead on a beach on Rutland Island near Burtonport on Saturday.

The operation is being headed by Donegal County Council's Water and Environmental section who are liasing with a number of groups including the Irish Parks and Wildlife Service.

It is speculated that submarine activity may have been responsible for the whale's deaths.
