Latest Live Register figures show there were 20,994 people signing on in Donegal at the end of October. In line with the national trend, that's down 339 on the September figure.
However, year on year, the figures continue to increase, with 1,180 more people on the register in Donegal at the end of last month compared to the same period last year.
All Donegal offices saw the numbers signing on increase, but the rate of the increase is down sharply on previous months.
The highest year on year percentage increases were in Letterkenny with 5,326 on the register and Ballyshannon with 1,408 signing on, both up 9%.
Buncrana had 4,604 signing on, while Dunfanaghy had 1,506, both up 6% on October 2009.
There were 2,458 signing on in Ballybofey, up 5% and 2,070 in Dungloe, up 4%.
The lowest year on year percentage increases were in Donegal Town with 1,506 on the register and Killybegs with 1,160, both up 1%.
