Not too late for people to register to vote in by-election

Polling for the Donegal South West by-election will take place beween the hours of 7a.m. and 10p.m. on Thursday November 25th.
The closing date for candidates to submit their nomination papers is this day week – and for the public it is not too late to register:
The latest time for the receipt of nominations is 12 noon on Friday next, the 12th of November.
At present, just under 62,000 people are registered to vote in Donegal South West, with persons who are not registered still able to apply for inclusion in the supplement to the register to be published before polling day.
Supplement application forms for all categories of voters are available from council offices, Garda Stations, Libraries, Post Offices and and on-line at www.checktheregister.ie. People can also use that site to check if they are eligible to vote.
Forms should be signed by a garda, and must be received  by Donegal County Council at County House in Lifford no later than half past four on Monday next, the 8th of November.
