Fine Gael to seek at least 5% cut in county’s commercial rates

Fine Gael has said it is to push for a reduction in commercial rates of at least 5% in advance of the Donegal County Council budget.

The party has also called on both National and Local Government to act immediately to assist Retailers in the county in advance of the Christmas Shopping period.

Councillor Barry O'Neill says the government should introduce, at least, a temporary reduction in VAT, to assist border business compete - and says Donegal Council must play it's part:
