Award for Newmills Corn and Flax Mills

It is expected that the government will this evening announce a planned extension and further development of the Newmills Corn and Flax Mills.
Minister of State for Finance, O.P.W and Culture Martin Manseragh is in the county later to accept an award for the facility which has been named Best Presented Heritage Site.
The mills are located 5 miles outside Letterkenny and has one of the largest waterwheels in Ireland and visitors can get an insight in to the county’s industrial history.
