Soccer – Coleman Scores His First Everton Goal

Donegal’s Seamus Coleman scored his first goal for  Everton on Tuesday Night but his side failed to progress in the Carling Cup losing to Brentford on penalties. Coleman had put Everton in front after just six minutes from a most unlikely source. Yakubu’s effort was diverted into the path of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and when he teed up  Coleman, the Irishman made no mistake from eight yards.  Brentford equalised in the second half and penalties were needed to seperate the sides. Unfortunatly for Coleman and Everton, The league one side moved to the next round winning 4-3 on spot kicks.
Meanwhile Shay Given is set for his first start of the season at West Brom on Wednesday if he shakes off a toe injury. Man City boss Roberto Mancini is aiming to shuffle his pack with one eye on Saturday’s game against Chelsea, and that includes resting Joe Hart, who he plumped for as his first-choice goalkeeper at the start of the season. Given has also been told he can leave Eastlands in the January transfer window but Mancini has told future buyers that he will not go for a cut price.
