RNLI says Lough Swilly was Donegal’s busiest lifeboat station during the summer

The Arranmore Lifeboat had 9 call outs and the Bundoran lifeboat had 7.
RNLI Inspector Owen Medland says the figures reflect the fact that most summer call outs are to leisure craft, with stations such as Arranmore busier during the autumn and winter months when more missions involve trawlers and other commercial vessels in the open seas…….
