Hillary Clinton urged to include Donegal in conference on Northern Ireland economy

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is being urged to include Donegal in a major conference on the Northern Ireland economy taking place next month in Washington.

Donegal North East Deputy Joe Mc Hugh, who serves as Fine Gael Spokesperson on North-South Cooperation has written to Ms Clinton’s Northern Ireland envoy Declan Kelly requesting that next month’s conference on the Northern Ireland economy also promotes the potential of the Border region.

Deputy Mc Hugh, who launched a report on Border job creation in July, says the inclusion of the border counties would be in keeping with the Good Friday Agreement:
