Gardai boost patrols following water poisning threats

Gardaí have confirmed that they have stepped up patrols on the Pollan Dam in Buncrana following claims that poachers had threatened to poison the Inishowen water supply.
On Highland Radio this week a local fishermen claimed that poachers had threatened to poison the water if their attempts to poach salmon from the Crana river was further disrupted.
A Garda spokesman said they will meet with anglers in the coming days to discuss the sinister threat.
