HIQA nursing home inspections having negative impact on Donegal residents

It has been claimed that inconsistent application of the National Standards and Regulations for nursing homes is having a negative impact on patient care in County Donegal.

The HIQA inspection regime was highlighted as an area of concern in a report  commissioned by Nursing Homes Ireland.

Spokesperson Tadhg Daly says the regime is one sided and unfair and that the losers are the residents of nursing homes:
