A campaign set up in Donegal to abolish Vehicle Registration Tax is welcoming support from Donegal County Council.
At Mondays council meeting, all 29 Councillors unanimously backed a motion this week formally calling on the government to put an and to the tax.
Over 11,000 people have joined a facebook campaign set up within in the county.
Ryan Stewart, who set up the Facebook group, says that with the support of Donegal County Council, the campaign can now go countrywide.
