Donegal dealer secures rare book

A Donegal book dealer has stumbled upon the first edition of a renowned 150-year-old history of Inishowen, ending a mammoth quarter-century quest.
Inishowen, Its History, Traditions and Antiquities was written in the late 1860s by Michael Harkin, a local journalist operating under the pseudonym Maghtochair.
Carndonagh book dealer Michael Herron (71) said he had all but given up hope of finding the elusive edition until son-in-law Peter Doherty traced it to a dealer in the United States.
