Sinn Fein says 30% of Donegal’s labour force is now out of work. In a statement, Cllr Padraig Mac Lochlain says when the latest live register figures are compared to County Development Board figures which show the Labour Force in Donegal as being just over 65,000.
Last week, his party colleague Senator Pearse Doherty presented 16,000 “wish you were here” postcards from the dole queue to the Department of the Taoiseach.
However, Senator Doherty says the government isn’t responding to the gravity of the situation……
