Mc Hugh meeting Keith Prowse directors

Donegal North East Deputy Joe Mc Hugh says fear and uncertainty continues to surround the future of jobs at Keith Prowse in Lisfannon, Buncrana. The company has been based in Lisfannon since 2002, employing over 100 people.
Last week, it emerged that up to 20 of the staff are likely to be let go, with others having their hours cut. A company spokesperson would only confirm that management were having discussions, and a statement will be released at some point in the near future. Almost a week on, that statement has not yet emerged.
Last week, Deputy Joe Mc Hugh met weith employees and the Labour Relations Commission, and he’s meeting with the Keith Prowse Directors later today.
This morning, he declined to comment on the ongoing discussionsm, saying only that it’s a sensitive issue.
