Donegal rape trial jury set to consider verdict

A jury in the Central Criminal Court trial of a Donegal man accused of raping a woman who was too sick to resist after a party in the county is expected to retire to consider their verdict today.
The man has pleaded not guilty to raping and sexually assaulting the woman in a house in Donegal on May 20, 2007.
The jury of nine men and three women have heard closing speeches from prosecuting and defence counsel. They’ll retire to consider their verdicts when Mr Justice John Edwards completes his charge to them.
