World U21 Snooker For Letterkenny

The North West Snooker Club have announced this week that they have secured the running of the World Under 21 snooker championships which will be held from the 31st of July to the 11th of August.  This tournament, which is the biggest event for juniors on the world calendar, will attract players from all over the world. These players are the best of the best in their respective countries and are the future of professional snooker worldwide. The eventual winner will receive a winners prize of €4000 and a place on the professional WSA main tour for next year but most importantly, the title of “IBSF WORLD UNDER 21 SNOOKER CHAMPION”. Former holders of this title include Ireland’s own Ken Doherty, China’s Ding Jun Hui, England’s Ronnie O Sullivan, Mark Allen from Northern Ireland and the new WSA World Champion Neil Robertson from Australia.
