Raymond McCartney selected as the vice-chair of Assembly justice committee

Foyle Sinn Féin MLA Raymond McCartney has been selected as the vice-chair of the new Assembly justice committee.
Mr McCartney was chosen following a vote to elect Alliance Party leader David Ford as the North’s new justice minister yesterday afternoon.
He becomes the first locally elected politician to hold the office for 38 years. The justice committee will scrutinise the decisions of the department of justice.
And the Foyle Sinn Fein MLA said the transfer fo powers will help in reducing crime.
