Rugby – Letterkenny Lose Out in Final

Gordan West Cup Final @ Ravenhill
Letterkenny 17 v 27 Grosvenor
Letterkenny’s hopes of silverware this season came to an end on Saturday losing by ten points to Grosvenor. This was an all round good display from a very young Letterkenny side that just lacked the experience as their opponents remain unbeaten in 2010. In what was their fourth attempt at trying to lift the cup, Letterkenny found themselves trailing 16 – 7 at the break. Letterkenny did reduced the gap to two points but Grosvenor wrapped up the win in the second half on sixty six minutes with the last score of the game. Heart break for Letterkenny but there was no disgrace in this defeat. Kyle Samson and Kevin Mc Laughlin scored the tries in the game for Letterkenny while Boyd Robinson hit two conversions and a penalty.
Letterkenny Captain Adam Moore.
