Buncrana Councillors split on what’s best way to deal with traffic congestion

Buncrana Town Councillors have been split on what is the best way to deal with traffic congestion at Westbrook Junction in the Town.
Following the development of in excess of 200 homes in the area there has been an ongoing issue with congestion at the junction particularly as children travel to and from school.
Yesterday councillors were presented with a recomendation that a small island and yellow box be provided at the junction but a number of councillors rejected that stating they would instead prefer traffic lights.
