Major discussion on energy usage held in Derry

Some of Europe's foremost energy conservation experts have been in Derry for the past two days to discuss how to cut energy use in major cities.

Derry is one of six EU cities involved in  The Minus 3% programme, an EU programme aimed at researching ways to cut energy consumption by 30% within ten years.

The project is being coordinated by Codema, the City of Dublin Energy Management Agency.

Spokesperson Edel Gilteman says the Derry meeting has been a very positive one:
