More details emerge on Donegal drugs seizure

Gardai continue to question three men today following the major drugs seizure in Carrigans on Wednesday evening.
The discovery led to a number of follow up operations across the country and ws part of an ongoing garda surveillance operation.
The three men, two from County Tipperary and the third from County Louth are being questioned at Milford and Letterkenny Garda Stations.
As part of the ongoing investigation gardai raided a house in Kildrum Lower, close to the Derry border on Wednesday evening.
They discovered a sophisticated cannabis factory and seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of half a million euro.
As part of the garda operation number of searches were carried out across the country  and while no further drugs were found gardai did discover evidence to link them up with the Donegal discovery.
There are reports today that a dissident republican gang in Derry was suspected of being involved in the Donegal operation however gardai have yet to confirm this.
