2,500 Apprentice Boys marching in Derry

The annual Apprentice Boys Lundy’s Day commemeration is underway with an estimatyed two and a half thousand marchers and 30 bands making their way through the city centre.
The celebrations will culminate in the burning of an effigy of the traitor Lundy later today.
Police are maintaining a presence along the route, and have erected barriers at potential flashpoints. However, they say they’re hoping for a peaceful afternoon and evening.
