Mark Durkan selected to run again in Foyle

SDLP leader Mark Durkan is to contest the Foyle seat in the next general election.
Mr Durkan, the sitting MP in the constituency, was selected as the party’s Westminster candidate at a convention in Derry yesterday.
He will stay on as leader until the party’s annual conference in February.
Mr Durkan, who is 49, replaced John Hume as leader of the Social Democratic and Labour Party in 2001.
