Thursday’s public service strike deferred

Union leaders have announced that the public sector strike action planned for this Thursday has been deferred.
It comes as marathon talks on cutbacks in the sector continue at government buildings.
No final deal on cuts is expected today – and talks are due to continue at least into tomorrow.
