John Breslin
On weekday mornings, John Breslin kicks up the day's programming at 7.00 with Highland Breakfast, a veritable feast of good music, news and sport interspersed with John's inimitable wit and observations on the issues of the day. Not so heavy as to be intrusive, not so light as to induce a return between the sheets, John's music choice provides the perfect soundtrack for the first rituals of the day. johnbreslin@highlandradio.com |

Shaun Doherty If people want to know what's going to be talked about in the pubs at 10 O'Clock at night, they listen to Shaun Doherty at 10 O'Clock in the morning. Shaun's interviewing techniques are much commented on - few radio personalities can effectively question those in power without shirking the hard issues one moment, and then turn to encourage an ordinary punter making their radio debut with equal ease. The show is meticously planned by producer Lisa Burkitt, but as often as not, the plan gets overturned as people ring to express their views, often generating new issues in doing so. Indeed, many's the time a topic raised on Shaun's show has gone on to dominate the local papers and become a major issue locally. Shaun makes it look easy. Be assured, it isn't. shaundoherty@highlandradio.com |

Ivan Boreland Ivan started his Highland career while still in school, and for nearly 10 years, the essential preparation for weekend clubbers in the North West has been Ivan's Jukebox on Friday and Saturday nights. Now, he brings that expertise to the Power Hour. Ivan plays the hits of the day, and given his instinct for what's going to be big, he also plays the hits of tomorrow. If you want to know what'll be in the charts in two months time, chances are he's playing it already. ivan@highlandradio.com |
