Donegal dominate at major Draughts Tournament


There was Donegal success at the Kildare Open Draughts Tournament on Sunday.
The Kildare competition at the Townhouse Hotel in Nass is one of the biggest draughts tournaments on the calendar with players coming from the UK, continental Europe and the USA to take part.
It was a clean sweep for Inishowen in the senior men’s with Julian McGuinness of Carndonagh taking the win. Moville’s Sean McCauley was second and Buncrana man Billy Kelly third.
In the Master’s category, the returning Hugh Devlin from Letterkenny was the outright winner.
