McDevitt & Trearty goals help LYIT to victory over MIC


LYIT Ladies GAA team battled hard in Ballyhaunis on Thursday evening beating Marry Immaculate College Limerick 2-11 to 1-8 in the Higher Education League.
Trailing by four pointd midway through the first half, scores from Grainne O’Neill, Emma Mc Mahon, and a goal from Danielle Mc Devitt left it level at half time, 1-06 each.
In blustery cold conditions, LYIT slowly gained control of the game in the second half with Aishleen Mc Guinness and Kathy Ward adding points before Julie Trearty sealed the result with a goal and a point.
