Met Éireann is warning people throughout Ireland to expect very heavy rain tonight.
Up to 400 millimetres is forecast to fall in a short space of time, possibly leading to spot flooding.
A yellow rainfall warning is now in place throughout the country, which will end at seven tomorrow morning.
