There are fears that another water outage in West Donegal could cause further chaos for homes and businesses this morning.
The suspected pipe burst happened in Gortahork overnight with concern that it will affect the surrounding the area for much of today.
Irish Water has been notified and it’s understood that a team has been tasked to carry out repair works.
Local Election Candidate Michael McClafferty says while the utility has agreed to fast track upgraded works to the pipework, realistically that work needs to begin today:
