A Donegal County Councillor says a new community hospital in Letterkenny is not about taking patients from other hospitals but rather than to serve the people of the town.
Cllr. Ciaran Brogan was speaking following news that a planning application has been lodged for a new 25 million euro facility.
It would include 110 beds with 10 being assigned for a new dementia unit with a proposed location next to Letterkenny University Hospital.
