Over 15,000 people on outpatient waiting list at LUH last month

Outpatient waiting lists have reached record levels.
National Treatment Purchase Fund figures for January show 523,200 people are waiting on appointments – an increase of 7 thousand on the previous month, 46,300 of those patients children.
At Letterkenny University Hospital there were 15,871 people awaiting an outpatient appointment last month, an increase of 396 on the previous month and up almost 8% from January 2018.
Of those on outpatient waiting lists at Letterkenny University Hospital, 3039 have been waiting over 18 months for an appointment.
