Spike in patients attending ED at LUH

There has been a spike in the number of patients presenting at the Emergency Department at Letterkenny University Hospital.
The Saolta Health Care Group say 148 patients attended the ED yesterday which they say is significantly higher than the average of 105 to 115 patients per day.
People are again being advised to only attend the Emergency Department in the case of a real emergency and to contact their GP or GP Out-of-Hours in the first instance.
