Stephen Kenny kicked off his term as Republic of Ireland under-21s manager with a 1-0 win on Wednesday night over an Irish Amateur side.
A number of north west players were involved. On the Republic side, Finn Harps Sam Todd and Sligo Rovers Jack Keaney were brought in as late substitutes.
Letterkenny Rovers Conor Tourish was also capped being introduced midway through the second half for the Irish Amateurs.
Shamrock Rovers striker Brandon Kavanagh scored the games only goal.
