Restrictions on one off houses in Donegal impacting rural services


Donegal County Council is being urged to build more social accomodation in the Inishowen peninsula, with Cllr Bernard Mc Guinness saying rural schools and other services are being threatened because people are not being allowed to build one off houses.
Cllr Mc Guinness says restrictions on individual building projects are more stringent than ever before, and that makes it even more urgent that the council provide houses for those that need them in Inishowen.
He says the housing need in the area cannot be ignored, particularly when depopulation is becoming a real issue:
