Current system for returning emigrants not working – Gallagher


 
There is a serious need for a solution to the current system in place for returning emigrants in Ireland.
That’s according to Councillor Marie Therese Gallagher who says it is near impossible for people to re-settle in the country.
She says the difficulty in obtaining a driving licence or planning permission has left returning emigrants in West Donegal feeling they are not wanted.
She says a county-wide approach is needed to tackle the issue:
