Lyme disease motion backed by MEPS

 

A motion demanding the European Commission draw up a plan to combat Lyme disease across Europe has been back by MEPs.
Irish representatives have expressed concern over the level of knowledge about the debilitating condition in Ireland and the treatment available.
Midlands North West MEP Marian Harkin told the Commissioner that while the motion is encouraging, accurate tests need to be made more readily available for patients in Ireland:
