Calls for Jobpath programme to be scrapped

Donegal Deputy Thomas Pringle has called for the Jobpath programme to be abolished claiming recent figures from the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection suggest its impact on employment is not worth the money invested in it by the Government.
Figures obtained by Deputy Pringle show that Jobpath only helped a further 2% of individuals gain full-time employment
He believes the money would be better spent on housing, schools or increasing benefits for part-time workers.
