A Donegal councillor says elected members should have more say in the planning and location of Sewage Treatment Plants.
Cllr Liam Blaney this week asked Donegal County Council to clariofy if it was planning a single plant to service Milford, Ramelton and Rathmullan as is now being proposed by Irish Water.
He was told that some shared facilities were included in a list of possible options, but not to serve the three areas, and certainly not situated in the Ray area.
Cllr Blaney wants to see all documentation relating to the issue, and is questioning Irish Water’s assertion that it is only following on from the council’s own proposals………
