Tyrone to investigate violent incidents at club games

The Tyrone County Board have moved to condemn the violent scenes and incidents of indiscipline that occurred during club championship matches in the county over the weekend.
And the board is now promising to deal with the incidents in an urgent manner.
The game between Moy and Edendork has drawn much debate – due mainly to the images highlighting the facial injuries sustained by Sean Cavanagh in a game where there were 27 cards issued – 20 yellow, six red and one black
There were incidents too in the meeting of Stewartstown and Strabane in the Intermediate Championship on Friday night.
In a statement issued last evening, Tyrone GAA did not specifically mention any game, or indeed the Cavanagh incident – but they have condemend all of the ugly scenes and unwarranted violence.
They say the board’s disciplinary arm would be examining the referees’ reports and video footage to determine what sanctions, if any, should apply.
