Nine new Irish language support teachers are to be established in Donegal.
It brings to total 43 the number of such posts in the county and is part of a of €1.02m allocation under the Irish Language Assistants Scheme for the upcoming school year.
Donegal Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher says while this is a step in the right direction, much more will be required over the years ahead:
